The Reverend Terry L. Leckrone – A Biographical Sketch Pastor Terry Leckrone was born and raised in York, PA. He is a graduate of William Penn Senior High School in York. After graduation, Pastor Leckrone attended Messiah College and Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Philadelphia). From 1975 – 1991, He served churches in the Central Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church, including a four point rural charge, suburban and inner-city parishes. The latter, the Shared Ministry, was related to both the United Methodist and the United Church of Christ. In 1991, Pastor Leckrone began working in professional fund raising and planned giving. Among the organizations he worked for were United Cerebral Palsy, The League for People with Disabilities, and the Maryland School for the Blind. From 1997-2005, he was Executive Director of the United Methodist Foundation of the Baltimore-Washington Conference of the United Methodist Church. While working in fundraising, Pastor Leckrone received certification in Fundraising Management from the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) and graduated from the National Planned Giving Institute at the College of William & Mary. Pastor Leckrone has one son, John Wesley, who is on the faculty of Widener University. And two granddaughters, Alexa and Abigail. His daughter in law, Jodi, is an administrator at Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia. |
